Known for its exciting races and excellent display of luxurious boats and yachts, the much-anticipated Koh Samui Regatta will welcome the best sailors and competitors across Asia for its 19th edition from July 26 to 30, 2022. This year’s event will be held in Chaweng Beach and hosted by the Banana Fan Sea Resort. It will consist of four days of races featuring numerous dinghies, keelboats, and multihulls.

Koh Samui Regatta features excellent sailing adventures complemented by fun parties and weeklong entertainment. First inaugurated in 2002, the regatta started with just eleven boats that were mainly beach catamarans. The tournament eventually gained popularity because of the fantastic array of activities and the warm hospitality of the host community. It is now recognized as one of Asia’s most competitive and highly-regarded regattas, cementing Koh Samui’s reputation as one of the best sailing destinations in the region.

More than just serving as a host community for sailors and boat enthusiasts, the regatta also aims to help increase tourist arrivals to Koh Samui. Moreover, the event also aims to help raise awareness and participation in watersports across Asia and support youth education and sporting activities on the island.
