1. Chaweng

Chaweng is the most famous and well-equipped beach on the island. It is located on the east of Samui and it has beautiful 6 km-long beach with the white powdery sandy beach.

2. Lamai

Ranked second place best beach in Samui, Lamai Beach is as beautiful as Chaweng but with less crowd. You can still see local people’s  life goes by on this beach while there are still plenty of accommodation choices for you to choose.

Lamai also has nice restaurants, pubs and bars but less than Chaweng. Therefore, if you do not like too many noises but still do not want to be cut off from the civilised world, Lamai should serve you well.

3. Bophut

Bophut can serve as the perfect venue for the night out as well as quiet holiday abode. This is the venue where you will find local community meet with the commercial world. The beach is relative good with one of the clearest water on the island. You can also visit Samui’s landmark like the Big Buddha situating on this beach. However, some part of the beach might be a bit rockery and make it impossible to swim.

7. Choeng Mon

Home to mid-range to upper-class accommodation, Cheong Mon Beach is located on the north-western of Samui Island. Choeng Mon also has the beautiful beach that is suitable for swimming as it is not too deep.
