Sitting atop Phuket’s mountainous western coast, Villa Mayavee boasts one of the most breathtaking views of the Andaman sea and sunsets that delicately blanket its waters. This four-bedroom villa is one unique spectacle: a sleek, horizontal structure balancing itself amidst a jagged, forested landscape. The villa’s Z-shape layout spreads across 10,200 sqm of land and surrounded by lush mountain woodland.
Up close, Villa Mayavee’s ultra-modern architectural features seem out-of-place considering its untamed forest location. But in truth, it is a design ingenuity that masterfully incorporates itself to the terrain’s natural form. At the same time, the villa fully maximizes the scenery offered by the very place where it stands.
The entrance of the villa is unlike any other. A stone pathway traversing a pool of water leads to a spiral staircase encased in a cylindrical glass. Ascending it reveals a spacious room that houses the lounge, the dining area, the kitchen, and the TV room. Its entire exterior wall is made of glass, creating an amazing panorama of the view outside. Less is truly more as you walk around the villa’s interior, evidently inspired by the art of Zen.
From this central room, the villa extends into two different wings at either end: the Mountain Wing or guest wing; and the Ocean Wing or the master wing. In the Mountain Wing are three guest rooms, each having its own balcony and ensuite bathroom. It also houses an outdoor bar and a fully-equipped fitness room. The Ocean Wing, on the other hand, contains the master suite. This luxurious bedroom has its own private swimming pool, Jacuzzi, walk-in closet, library, office, and view of the sea.
A 21 x 5m infinity pool looks out into the Andaman, seemingly dropping down the mountainside. While at the villa’s very top is a roof deck that offers an unbroken view of the horizon, a perfect place to be during sunsets.
Villa Mayavee is located in a secluded peninsula along the famous Millionaire’s Mile of Kamala. It is only a 10 to 15 minutes drive from Patong Beach, Surin Beach, and other tourist attractions. Four professionally trained staff, including a private chef, are ready to serve guests.
