Stretching about two kilometers of Samui’s northeast beachfront, Plai Laem is a beautiful and quiet spot. You can head here if you want to meditate, clear your mind, or finish your favorite book without noise from jet skis and various vendors. You need not carry your food as the area has a few midrange resorts where visitors can get their refreshments. You can also find beautiful luxury villas and sights as you walk towards the south end of the beach. Here you can view a colorful temple that is home to two giant statues. One is an 18-armed Budhaa, and the other is a laughing and happy Buddha. It is a child-friendly place as they will have a blast feeding thousands of catfish or enjoy paddling across the pond in a swan-shaped boat.
