Just down the coast from Surin, Kamala is even close to the heady atmosphere of Patong yet has long retained a reputation for its quiet vibe with laid-back beachside dining and a few bars for sunset gazing. The sheltered bay and clear waters makes this a favorite for families and the hillsides add a pretty backdrop too. Kamala has become more hip and happening of late, with the recent arrival of two beach clubs. HQ Beach Lounge creates a club-like contemporary vibe after the sun goes down with beachside chilling in a chic atmosphere by day.  Café del Mar injects some glamor and Ibiza-style party energy which relaxed daytime beats too. Whilst the streets behind the beach offer some nightlife and shopping, as well as a daily fresh-food market, the main appeal of Kamala is its beachfront beauty. Meanwhile, cultural theme park Phuket FantaSea with its show-stopping performances is located here too.
