Grand Hirafu

The largest of the four resorts, Niseko Grand Hirafu is the perfect ski destination for families and groups due to its assortment of ski facilities that are fit for adventurers of all ages.

Located on the southeastern side of the mountain, the base of the resort is packed with establishments such as hotels, condominiums, shops, and restaurants. It also has a snow park where kids and kids-at-heart can enjoy snow tubing, playing with snow, and even building igloos and snowmen.

The resort is also where guests will find famous nightlife spots in Niseko such as Bar Gyu+ which is known for its warm ambiance, cozy atmosphere, and fantastic views.

Niseko Village

Offering a more relaxed vibe, Niseko Village on the southeastern side is a paradise for travelers looking for a chill time yet still want to be in the center of all the action. The resort offers some of the longest and steepest ski trails in Niseko, perfect for ski experts and thrill-seekers.

Rookie skiers need not worry because Niseko Village also has gentler slopes that are equally as enthralling as its more challenging counterparts. The resort is also home to some of the most luxurious establishments in the area.

Annupuri

Joining Niseko Grand Hirafu and Niseko Village on the southeastern side of the mountain is Niseko Annupuri, a quaint and charming resort that is a go-to choice for families who want a more laidback ski experience. Niseko Annupuri is perfect for skiers and snowboarders from all skill levels with its well-groomed slopes, enchanting terrains, lovely sceneries, and Niseko’s signature powdery-white snow.

Niseko Annupuri is known for a number of stunning onsens located at the base of the resort, most of which use mineral-filled water coming from the earth. The fun doesn’t stop during wintertime because vacationers can also enjoy being one with nature during summer with outdoor activities such as mountaineering, hiking, and trekking.

Hanazono

Offering a variety of activities that are beginner and family-friendly, Niseko Hanazono on the northeastern side is perfect for groups and individuals looking for an easygoing yet adventure-filled trip. The resort offers dedicated learning areas for beginners, as well as terrain parks with pipes, rails, jumps, and slalom runs. Niseko Hanazono also serves as the base and entry point for various off-mountain winter activities such as snowmobiling and snowshoeing tours.

The resort center called Hanazono 308 is home to all sorts of services, activities, and dining opportunities, including a slope-side restaurant called Hanazono Edge. Expert skiers are also in for a treat with exhilarating slopes and piste located within the resort premises.

Getting There

Niseko is reachable via a two to three-hour drive from the New Chitose Airport which is located just outside of Sapporo. International visitors also have the option to catch a flight from Tokyo via the Narita International Airport before transferring to a flight to Hokkaido. Getting around Niseko is made easy with an abundance of shuttle buses, taxis, and rental cars available around the area.
